The service makes it very easy to organize participants according to whatever criteria that we wish to use. It is then equally easy for participants to look each other up, using the same criteria.
The Analytics data provided in the back office helps administrators to figure out what initiatives or communications have been successful.
The ability to learn who has worked at what companies is very useful for fellows who are considering a career move, as is the ability for fellows and admins to post job listings.
The impressive size of the file storage provided is a real benefit for the users, enabling peopel to upload large documents to their portfolios, which they can then present to other users.
The fact that Hivebrite is working toward 100% accessibility is invaluable to my organization, because we have many fellows with disability.
Finally, as a new admin, the ability to meet regularly with people at Hivebrite is a real plus. The learning curve is not overwhelmingly steep, but having someone to hold my hand has been very reassuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing that I would like to add is the ability to edit the overall format of the Live Feed page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the The live feed. I feel like most immediate needs are met there. The instant messaging and events and maps are great features. There are a couple of groups that run well, but without constant facilitation by a moderator they fall flat because members find the groups cumbersome to use.
I like that there is no advertising or cross site tracking. The back office is relatively simple to use.
The news feature and pinned post is quite helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The notification feature is awful. Take away the likes notifications. Group the "so and so commented" notifications so that you don't have to open the same post 20 times each time a person commented.
In notifications say if the comment is for a live feed or what group. If somebody responds to your comment you have to go throughout all 50 comments to find your comment and see if they are indeed talking to you. Tagging a person in comments doesn't always work. Groups are hard to manage as you can't track your activity in them or search within them.
It would be nice to turn off notifications for certain posts or forums. Just because I start a forum as an admin doesn't mean I want a notification every time somebody adds a recipe to the recipe forum.
The buggy live feed is frustrating. Also the inability to sort the live feed is frustrating.
Members want notifications for live feed posts in their groups. It would be great for admins to get a notification when a comment is reported. It would be great if users could use the files to manage adding videos etc rather than it just being an admin feature.
It's a bit cumbersome to use on a mobile device which is a huge complaint with members. Many memeners refuse to use Google which leaves them with a glitchy experience.
A search feature for the live feed would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that hivebrite gives multiple ways to engage our members. It feels familiar (like Facebook or LinkedIn), so it is easy for them to use. It allows us to track engagement and allows our members to engage with us and each other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few things that aren't flexible such as engagement points--we can't set custom points and they don't ever reset. It would be great to be able to use this feature for loyalty rewards. Also some fields, such as birthdate are not searchable. We would like to be able to send custom emails for users during their birthday month, but are unable to easily sort this in the system. HiveBrite is an all-in-one solution for bringing together those with similar interests, especially Alumni, in a single comprehensive package. Love the interactive feed, profile management, event management, notifications, and much more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While additional features could further enhance the platform, there is always additional development in the works as the support team has been phenomenal in keeping customers updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Through the Hivebrite events function, we have been able to organise weekly calls with our members, as well as for creating guest lists ahead of a 200+ person online international event with a major organisation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The speed of the platform can sometimes be laggy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can serve as a networking platform as well as managing the alumni data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some fields are standard and can't be modified. The overall layout of the platform is not as sophisticated as we thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hivebrite continually updates its platform and genuinely accepts feedback from its clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are parts of the platform that are missing simple things like sorting by alphabetical, or drag and drop features to update the order. You have to upgrade to get more custom fields, which are still only at the global level, not group level. Some things are priced out at higher clien plans when they should be basic offerings. The platform works pretty well for us. The support team is AWESOME! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Much of the platform functionality, while I am sure it is very useful for some communities, is not at all useful for our community. I was a little concerned when we were researching online community platforms that Hivebrite appeared to be focused on the alumni community market.
Even as I am completing this survey, it is very clear that even this survey is not really geared to generate useful information from online communities such as ours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hivebrite is a platform that lives up to its name. It was created by an ambitious team that listens to requests and always tries to find solutions. The platform offers a wide range of features to best manage a highly influential community.
In constant evolution, Hivebrite seems to be the future No. 1 platform in the community management market. (for me, it already is) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The documents are almost entirely in English. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
