There's a ton of helpful documentation, support, and community around linode/Akami. I'm a game developer and especially in the indie game sphere, linode/Akami is well-reputed and reliable. I've never had issues with servers being down, the data is incredibly easy to read and monitor, and the prices have no real competition.

Setting up our server took almost zero effort and we had it ready to test our games within minutes. You can also really customize how different elements work together and what services you want to have. How much storage, your RAM, so on. I like the ease of use with the ability to quickly implement and setup our VMs, Load-Balancers, Kubernetes and VPC/Networks at a fixed price. I do like it more than the other cloud providers from an initial startup price because the prices are much better and we are not overrun with ancillary costs.
