We're able to have multiple stores that allow us to target audience with our products in a more manageble way. Their support is second to none, we've never had to wait more than a minute and they follow up is stellar. Additionally, with Plus you pay lower transaction fees. The cost of plus is not for everyone. It's expensive which can be prohibitive for smaller store. The need to work on their promotions module as it is pretty basic at this point, and you can't have more than one of a specific type of promotion. Additionally, they don't do pick/pack/ship, only the ship part. They do shipping only, so if you have to pick your orders from bins etc, you'll need a 3rd party app to take care of that. I love the on demand support from Shopify Plus. Whenever there are issues with our site or issues that can cause time sensitive probelms and directly impact sales, the support team is there and provides peace of mind.
I also love access to the B2B function as we are trying to expand our wholesale/b2b sales channel so this function is helpful and worth the extra cost of plus.
Very easy overall to implement and being a small medium sized business with over 10 active stores, the integration of all stores into our main account is great and we use all stores frequently so having Plus is also great to make this easy to use and manage. I have been managing a Shopify organization of websites for 3 years now. We are Shopify Plus users. Over the time we've been with Shopify, they continue to improve an already industry-leading E-Commerce platform. Everything you need to run an online store comes out of the box, you can stop very close to there, and you will have a well-functioning shop experience - you can also go down an endless rabbit hole of customization options and features that continue to improve. Customer service has been generally good. I would recommend unequivocally to everyone looking to start an E-Commerce business - it is the easiest possible full-featured solution with wide integration support. There are sometimes absent features and capabilities that don't make sense. Third-party solutions can be messy and frustrating to deal with / pay for. Shopify has been notably implementing its versions of many necessary E-Commerce features which tend to be solid options out of the box and are included in Shopify Plus. We appreciate being able to have multiple stores with the same back catlog. Editing and creating items is much easier than on previous platforms that we have used. The site is much easier to navigate and I would say that the migration was very smooth from the site we were previously on. Customer support is also very quick to respond which is a huge plus for us. We opted for plus for the B2B offerings but have felt that our rep over-sold us on many of the features. We felt we were promised features that simply did not exist once we finally got on. For example, we wanted our prices to be hidden unless a customer was logged in and were told this was something we could do. Whether that was just lost in translation I am not sure but we have had to spend quite a lot on developers to deal with this and other features that we needed in order to operate. We understand that Shopify is currently putting a lot of their attention toward the B2B platform so we are hoping that the usability will get better with time. The live chat support doesn't have technical knowledge and often routes to using apps instead of giving applicable solutions.

Upgrades can disrupt businesses and the support from the Plus team has significantly declined over the years. I asked for help with shipping changes with the new checkout and their response was "hire a developer". Frustrating. Shopify built their business on the back of business owners, not developers.
