There is a great deal to dislike. External Authentication Mechanisms doesn't support primary factors so MSFT forces me to try and go Passwordless "their way" -their implimentation of passkeys is not appropriate for enterprise use, it appears more consumer oriented. SAML integration is done through "federation" which is not granular the way Okta and every other SAML SSO is. In general the product is painful to set up, use and maintain. Microsoft Entra is one of the best solutions Microsoft offers for verifying and identifying enterprise technology assets such as laptops and mobile phones. It ensures that only the right people have access to specific resources. What I like the most are these three features: multi-factor authentication with the Microsoft Authenticator app, identity management for each device, and its integration with BitLocker, which provides full disk encryption for the asset. The support and community engagement for Entra ID among spring boot developers are not as extensive compared to other platforms. Me and entore team using MFA for their daily work. Multifactor Authentication provides us two factor Authentication while using organizational tool which helps organizations with safe and secure connectivity to tools and websits.

It helps on O365 too.

I can say it is one of the best security feature from microsoft previously Azure active directory, Imagine having one key for your work life. No more fumbling with a bunch of passwords for different programs. Entra ID lets you sign in to everything with just one login, saving you a ton of time and frustration. Plus, it adds extra security layers to keep your stuff safe, kind of like having a super strong deadbolt on your digital door. Some of the most powerful features require paid subscriptions, which can add up depending on your organization's size. This can be like having a great key system, but only if you can afford it. Which is something I don't not a big fan,

Might not handle everything for example If the company uses a lot of programs outside the Microsoft world, Entra ID might not be the best at keeping track of access for all of them. It's like having a key organizer that only holds house keys, but you need one for your work locker and the gym too.

And another thing that I noticed is Not super friendly with everything: It works great for Microsoft stuff, but connecting it to all those other programs you use can be a bit of a headache.
