The application initially appears to have a very beautiful, usable and understandable operating environment. It provides many interface features and options as to how (FTPS/cloud options) and when files will be exchanged. For home users or very small businesses it is a very good solution. If you want to use scheduled tasks, designing, entering and reviewing workflows is completely inefficient. It seems as if there is no engineer on the development team, and even though the current version is at 10 and the company has been developing the app for 10 years, there seems to be a huge accumulation of technical debt. It's hard to believe that basic features such as simple e-mail notification of when a file is actually uploaded or downloaded from a remote server are not provided. In corporate environments with dozens of connections and hundreds of file exchange streams it is impossible to have control over what you receive and what you send. The logging feature that is charged extra, in the end is almost useless for audits, while to be able to see what file exchanges took place you have to create a new application. The division into Professional/Ultimate/Enterprise is misleading. Home/Pro would be more clear about the features and support it provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the options to connect and transfer files to the cloud-like Amazon and Google, it's perfect to unify everything from the Windows OS desktop.
Connect to local server and Internet.
The pleasant and native user interface for Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like to manage remote server files, I select each file and add it to the operation list or download it to my PC.
Guaranteed security with file encryption for added security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It supports a lot of protocols (Amazon S3, WebDAV, sftp and so on), doesn't need many resources. It also provide a high security level. It can be used for many purposes. Such as download and upload files to websites ftp servers, backing up remote servers and so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I tried to use it for synchronizing files with remote server it took a lot of time. But I used it only once. All other is on a very high level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that it is not possible to change the interface theme to night mode, since keeping the color white at night causes fatigue in my vision.
I also dislike that SmartFTP does not have support for Linux or macOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about SmartFTP is the wide variety of tools that you have to manage a web server. For example, you can delete files, create folders, open the text editor, view file history, and more. It has a friendly GUI, where you just have to drag and drop the files. It is also possible to open the SSH terminal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On one occasion I wanted to update the software, but when I tried to install the new version, the installation wizard indicated that a version already existed, so I had to delete the software files manually, since the uninstaller was not running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Within the programming and data space of my work we've this ftp consumer to add our information and contents to our distant servers, which does it in a straightforward and easy means, however above all permits us to look at in actual time all that's being despatched, this program has many choices to offer a extra superior use. The one factor that might be lacking from this program are solely designs since all the pieces else works very properly, regardless that it could not be dangerous if I had extra choices like making distant connections to different ftp, nevertheless it really works wonderful. SmartFTP is an FTP server access client with a long history in which it has proven its worth. It is a very efficient software in connections, which are fast and stable. It has plenty of functions to perform normal tasks when we want to connect to servers, none of which are complicated to handle. It allows saving regular connections for quicker access, and its file explorer is quite efficient. It can be downloaded for free from its website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not important in its functioning, but the graphical environment is somewhat neglected. In my opinion, some icons are not intuitive, although with use you get used to everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a very nice and very complete application for transferring files via FTP. It allows SSH connections in one place. It has frequent updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To some extent I have been disappointed with this software lately, since it used to be free software, now it is too expensive. To make things worse, technical support is very poor because they concentrate on charging for the service but not on solving the problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very convenient to work with this FTP client, the interface is very nice and all the tools are available in the top menu, which leaves a lot of space for browsing folders and being able to do operations in it such as dragging files, deleting, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The upload speed is not very good, but if you have a good internet connection it would not be a problem. It is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
