Ubiquity hardware does tend to have an excellent lifespan. I've never had to replace Unify hardware due to a fault or failure.
Typically, the hardware will last long into the following lifecycle of innovation in networking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software tool used to manage the hardware is atrocious. It must continually be running on a dedicated piece of hardware to manage the WAPs and Switches. This wouldn't be as much of a headache if the software didn't lose connectivity to the networking devices regularly. Add to that the fact that when firmware updates process, the equipment has the propensity to lose its connection to the management engine, and you're left with something difficult to manage when you need to reliably. Easy to use, configure and light weight. Software controller configs and User interface templates are great. Easy to deploy anywhere due to its lightweight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Penetrations through glass walls and normal walls seem to be an issue, Client disconnection issue happens often at peak hours making it less reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
*This is a Network Engineer I have experienced multiple wireless devices which are used in our WAN and LAN enterprise network. Basically we have handled ISP operation so we deal with multiple wireless corporate clients that are connected via wireless devices like outdoor/indoor Ubiquity devices: M5400/500-Beam, Ubiquity: UniFi AP, etc.
*For lease lined client in our network, we have used Ubiquity outdoor Air Pro M5 400/500 beam devices for wireless feasibility and indoor we have used UniFi® AP for net access.
*For outdoor ubiquity access point we need 360 LOS clear area to get connect another end Rf device. Ubiquity devices are an ultra-lightweight and incredible range with large area coverage and disruptive pricing.
*It gives us great wireless connectivity for long-distance connectivity also including multiple features like great noise reduction, serves good reliability and stability in the network, etc.
*Practically: Ubiquiti Networks PBE-M5-400/500 Power Beam outdoor AP: its working ranges (area of coverage) approx 2-3 Km and maximum throughput handled approx 145-150 Mbps also great noise immunity and support 2.4 and 5 GHz band with high performance.
*Indoor access point area coverage range approx 100-150 Meter and maximum throughput handled approx 100 Mbps and support 2.4 GHz band with great reliability in the network.
Pros:
*Outdoor Access Point M5 400/500 Maximum required throughput: approx 150-200 Mbps
*Great integrity and Reliability
*Easy installation and configuration parts
*Improve Noise /interference immunity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* None but some wireless security concerns need to improve security for data authentication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Giving Wireless connectivity where fiber connectivity cant be reached,Ubiquity plays an important role to fulfill this needs. In our networking field we use Ubiquity Powerbeam M5 as our wireless device to provide wireless connectivity to our clients. The best thing about Ubiquity Powerbeam M5 is that it is very understandable and very easy to access. The security performance is also too good as we can set a password for it. Nothing to dislike but it does not work properly in bad whether condition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are working in a networking field and we need to provide Wireless WAN connection to our clients.Ubiquity M5 is best and good for wireless communication.Ubiquity M5 is too easy to install and configuration is also easy. The Light weight factor of Ubiquity makes it very simple to placed it anywhere. We can also have remote access of it easily. For security reason we are also able to set a password which makes it more secure. Due to bad weather condition it might not work well and would not provide the constant speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ubiquity Networks provides low cost high performance devices. It is helpful for enterprises. We are using Ubiquity M5 model as a POP devices in our network. We are monitoring ubiquity devices using centreon application. It is easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes in rainy season we are facing issue with connectivity other times its working perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is one of the top device in network enterprise industry. The ubiquity wireless access points really work good. The cost of ubiquity devices low as compare to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In rainy season the performance of device becomes low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using ubiquity device we are able to transfer our throughput up to 14 to 15 Km range. We are easily able to transfer our data up to 100 Mbps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is wireless. When distance is more than 14 km then its not stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ubiquity is provide stable enterprise wireless connection. We required POE device to to provide power to the Ubiquity devices. If we restart the POE adapter the our ubiquity device is also restarted. It is easy configure. We are remotely configuring the devices.
