What do you like best about Zoom Events and Webinars?

What I Like About Zoom:

Easy to Use – The interface is super intuitive, and joining or hosting a meeting takes just a click.

Reliable Quality – Audio and video are consistently clear, even with large groups.

Great Features – I really appreciate the screen sharing, breakout rooms, and recording options—they make collaboration smooth and flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

What I Dislike About Zoom:

Time Limits on Free Plan – The 40-minute limit on group meetings for free accounts can be frustrating and interrupt productive conversations.

Can Be Resource-Heavy – Zoom sometimes uses a lot of CPU or battery, especially during long meetings with video on.

Too Many Updates – Frequent software updates can be a hassle, especially when they pop up right before a meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?

Problem: Managing Large-Scale Virtual Events Efficiently

Benefit: Zoom Events and Webinars make it easy to host, organize, and manage large audiences with minimal technical stress. I can run multi-session events, panel discussions, or training webinars without worrying about logistics—everything from registration to attendee engagement is streamlined in one platform.

Problem: Audience Engagement and Professional Presentation

Benefit: The webinar format allows me to present in a more polished, controlled environment while still engaging the audience through Q&A, polls, and chat. It creates a more professional experience for attendees without the distractions of everyone being on screen.

Problem: Event Tracking and Follow-Up

Benefit: With built-in analytics, registration data, and post-event reports, I can track attendance, see what resonated with the audience, and follow up effectively. This is especially helpful for lead generation and improving future events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Events and Webinars?

The ease of setting up the event/webinar is very streamlined. Once it is setup, the tools provided to add panelists or other co-hosts is very simple. Additionally, the built-in marketing tools provided are very helpful to promote and get sign-ups. Lastly, the backstage collaboration is very nice before an event to make sure everyone is ready to go before starting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

The solution can be very expenses depending on your need, especially for larger audiences (100+). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a very technical product that requires "seeing it to believe it" and so the usage of webinars (both for leads and existing customers) is crucial. Having a regular webinar series and subsequent platform to host it on is very key to our business model. Since launching we have already grown (in just a year) to events that see up to 500 registrations. A very great response rate that is fueled by the tools in the platform. What do you like best about Zoom Events and Webinars?

I appreciate Zoom Events and Webinars for their polished, professional presentation tools and ability to scale to large audiences without sacrificing quality. From the attendee’s perspective, the experience is nearly as simple as joining a regular Zoom meeting; making it accessible even for less tech-savvy users. The controlled webinar environment allows hosts to manage engagement smoothly while keeping distractions minimal. This balance of ease of use for participants and robust tools for organizers makes Zoom an ideal platform for high-impact virtual events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

the back-end interface can be a bit hard to navigate, especially for users who are more familiar with regular Zoom Meetings. Finding where to set up or manage events isn’t always intuitive, and switching between meetings and webinars can feel confusing. The differences in functionality- like attendee controls, interaction settings, and registration options - aren’t always clearly explained, which can lead to mistakes or missed features if you’re not experienced with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to reach large numbers of clients with the same information at once which is really beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was great when we needed to use it. Not cheap but a good software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

We were using Zoom as a company for years. Our needs changed and then we started to try to downgrade our license count and omg it's like trying to cancel a gym membership.

Zoom: We need a meeting!

Me: No we don't. Just cancel the licenses please.

Zoom: we need a meeting to discuss why you want to downgrade.

Me: No we don't. Just cancel the licenses please.

Zoom: oh, looks like you are on a yearly plan and cannot cancel.

Me: no we aren't. It's monthly. Please cancel.

Me: closes the ticket. I'll cancel the credit card we pay with before dealing with this any longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Events and Webinars?

There's always new updates that come in so handy when hosting virtual events. The ease that comes with being a host and co-host when facilitating virtual events diminishes the cognitive overload from facilitating content. One of the most valuable things is sending participants automatically to breakout rooms, especially when we have a mix of joining via laptop, tablet, and phone - this also lifts the burden from the participants and enhances their experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

Not a dislike, but an opportunity for improvement:

1. 90% of the time, folks accidentally return to the main room from breakouts because they accidentally hit the 'return to main room' thinking they closed the 'breakout rooms are closing' message. Perhaps make the 'return to main room' button less prominent, move the message box lower/higher to avoid blocking participants' faces, or add a second message to confirm they want to return to the main room.

2. When we broadcast messages to breakout rooms, it is not prominent enough and only lasts a few seconds, so inadvertently, some folks miss it entirely or only get to read part of it. Having this message pop up in a brighter color and last longer would be helpful, especially when the message is a call to action when they return to the main room. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ability to maintain momentum in engaging participants between in-person sessions without sacrificing quality and depth of content, flexibility to meet needs of various timezones across different programming, accessibility for participants and external collaborators to schedule one-on-one conversations with the Zoom scheduler with out the back-and-forth email coordination. What do you like best about Zoom Events and Webinars?

Our educational events are recorded for later viewing by some of the attendees who could not attend live. The fact that they have increased the available recording space as part of our account has been a positive for our use of this platform. The recordings are clear and there are rare problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?

I am not as impressed with their transcription. For some reason they make using Otter.ai as the transcription tool harder than it used to be, likely to promote their own service. I have to use an external device to transcribe the webinars in Otter.ai Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?

Many of our clients cannot get away from the workplace to attend meetings either live or on virtual platforms. Zoom allows recording so they can view the sessions later for full credit in our organization. Approximately 60% of the registered attendees rely on viewing the recorded sessions rather than attend live. There are a few that also want to watch the recording even after attending live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
