I'm a C++ creative coder for multimedia art, working in MacOS and Linux with graphics and audio. I mainly use IDE's like Xcode and Qt, I also like to use some line commands but never approached things like manage a remote server by a terminal. For a particular job I had to do it and was so bored by continuously typing in the terminal commands, addresses, passwords, for each minimum thing I had to do. I was wondering why no one developed an UI for all this stuff. So searching for a solution, I found it in Termius. It's the perfect one. It stores login credentials, shortcuts, commands, I can browse the remote server file system via SSH also easily upload/download files. Everything is quickly done in a nice and easy UI. There are tons of Termius features which I don't use nor I even understand, but of course I'm not minimally affected by them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Termius makes SSH access incredibly simple and efficient with its clean UI and cross-platform support. I love how it stores all my server credentials securely and syncs them across devices, which saves me a lot of time. The ability to organize hosts into groups and tag them makes server management easier, especially when working with multiple environments. It also supports snippets, which is a great productivity booster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Termius is feature-rich, some of the more advanced capabilities like team sharing or cloud sync are locked behind a paywall. It would be nice if more features were available in the free version. Also, the mobile app sometimes struggles with keyboard responsiveness during longer sessions, which slightly affects usability on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The absolute best thing about Termius is its seamless cross-platform synchronization. Being able to have all my hosts, keys, snippets, and port forwarding rules instantly available and consistent across my Windows desktop, Mac laptop, and even my phone is a game-changer. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and makes managing multiple connections incredibly easy. The built-in SFTP client is also a huge plus for quick file transfers without needing another app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, it's challenging to find significant downsides. If I had to nitpick, perhaps the subscription model might be a hurdle for very casual users, but for anyone regularly managing servers or needing SSH access, the productivity gains and reliability far outweigh the cost. Occasionally, a new feature might have a small learning curve, but the documentation and intuitive design usually make it straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's secure. I have it installed on my Macs, Windows systems and also on my Linux workstations. It's also on my iPhone and droid phones. Makes connection a breeze. The fact that it is also encrypted is a plus. A++ solution that works for sshers! it was so easy to set up and learn that I have never had to contact customer support or read any documentation. This is key to any software and it has become my daily driver. I have been able to integrate it into my daily workflow. This is an excellent product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The copy paste options are limited. The standard for terminals is select (or alt+select) then right click to copy and then right click to paste. Terminus copies as soon as the selection is done, not waiting for the right click. I can use ctrl+shift+c to copy and ctrl+shift+v to paste, but that takes some getting used to. I wish they looked at the standard terminal and either enabled right click copy/paste or displayed a context menu to copy/paste. Other than that, it has been a breeze to adopt. I think that the UI/UX is one of the big things for me. Its easy to use and to understand. The auto complete feature is also such a great tool. It is easy to implement, and to be able to co-work with other colleagues is awesome. I have not yet needed to contact custommer support, but I believe that if I needed to, the team would help me quickly. I use it often, almost daily, due to my work at telecommunications and networking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since I am a student subscribed to the GitHub Student Developer Pack, I have access to the pro features for free. The main thing for me would to have to pay to use the app, but nothing more than that. I am brazilian, and USD is quite expensive when we compare to our currency as of right now. Generally a commercial product
Automatic light/dark theme switching does not work in KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland) - Requires user interaction with it
It is not open-source; the source code cannot be (re)viewed . . .
There is no official RPM package for Termius, only DEB; Can be used mine:
Unsure if the theming fits better into QT or GTK
Confusing & missmatching changelogs - Websites mentions version: 9.10.0 - 2024/12/20, but the latest possible version to obtain is 9.9.0 - 2024/12/05 from the DEB package/Flatpak or Snap.

One of my friends recommended termius to me and it is my default ssh client since.
I simply love it.
the simplicity of the smtp tool is also a very big help for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the requirement of a user account even when i just want to use it locally without cloud services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the way you separate the host, key, and forwarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
that in the port forwarding section you cannot organize connections by groups, everything is mixed in the same grid Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After using the earlier versions, the current iteration is fantastic and provides enough online access to my servers and keys. From a previous install, Termius imports all servers and ssh keys, which is a plus for a barebone operating system reloading/updating. I have set up my Macbook to work with a fine Termius version, so I do not necessarily need the latest version, although there is an auto-check anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Termius, while charging people a $29.99/year subscription rate is not that bad, there is sometimes better efforts in the open source community. I use linux predominantly for freelance work as well as browsers like Firefox and Safari, and Termius does not have a presence in the linux communities I inhabit.
After about 20 years in the high technology sector, I spend more time in volunteer and freelance stints. Maybe Termius can do more foundational respresentation to make their profit, but they continue to be trend-setting for most people's work. Good job Termius, for your mainstream users and longer-lasting users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
