As someone who used to dread expense reports, Airbase has been a game-changer. Seriously, it's like night and day compared to the old manual processes. My favorite thing by far is how incredibly fast and easy it is to submit expenses. I can snap photos of receipts with my phone, and they're automatically uploaded and categorized. The app is super intuitive; I figured it out in minutes.
Side note, I contacted support once because my account was locked out (my employer issue, not Airbase) and they responded within a few hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Airbase is fantastic, there are a couple of minor things I'd like to see improved. Occasionally, the automatic categorization of expenses isn't perfect, and I have to manually adjust it. It's not a huge deal, but it would be even better if the AI was a bit more accurate. Also, while the mobile app is great, I've noticed that sometimes it can be a little slow to load, especially when I have a lot of receipts to upload. These are just minor inconveniences, though, and they certainly don't outweigh the many benefits of using Airbase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've always been able to have a reliable tracking on the company's money spending and expenses thanks to airbase. Our whole team is able to use it every day in our operations.
It's super user friendly and even easier to implement for large groups of people - it's self explanatory interphase becomes ideal for every day use. Which has made the integration to our processes no other thing than incredibly smooth.
Last but not least, if you ever have a question their amazing customer support staff is incredibly helpful start to finish! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly cannot think of anything that I've disliked so far. However, sometimes I've found a little challenging to group each individual category. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dashboard is clean and intuitive. It's easy to submitting receipts, categorizing expenses, and tag the appropriate department for expenses.
I also enjoy the feature that allows users to upload receipts and Airbase automatically populate all the information for you about the transactions, it saves a ton of time that would be spent manually typing in the details.
The ability to receive a virtual card with customized limits, has also been great for monthly recurring expenses as user.
Lastly, I like that my managers gets an instant notification requests that need their approval, which helps with the communication and reminders that would otherwise be needed from my end to get an expense approved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the only con about airbase is the app is not able to distinguish between finer details with receipts. I submitted 2 receipts that were from the same restaurant and same day but the meals were different. It flagged as duplicate and prompted much back and forth between myself and accounting dept. Invoice reconciliation is made amazing easy and quick. Before my team was using outdated tools and processes to reconcile invoices. Airbase has transformed this process, and made it easier to request virtual cards and POs for certain paid marketing channels and vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When requesting POs and virtual cards - there is no way to go back and duplicate a request. For example when a PO request is denied I receive an email notification stating this, and I have no way to access the denied PO. This leads to more work as I would need to request a PO from scratch. Airbase centralizes our entire spend process—from virtual cards to reimbursements—into one clean interface. The approval workflows are customizable, the real-time visibility into spending is a huge plus, and integrations with accounting tools like QuickBooks or NetSuite save us hours during month-end close. The user interface can sometimes be unintuitive, especially for new users. Mobile functionality also feels a bit behind the desktop experience, and some approvals get buried in notifications if you're not checking regularly. A little more automation around categorization would go a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pros:
1) The automatic expense import functionality actually works! which saves me time
2) The interface is easy to use - takes me less than 5 minutes to do an expense report
3) Easy workflow - can easily see where my reports are in the approval process
4) It's a fast platform, not clunky, intuitive.
*Note: I do not use the mobile app version, just the webapp.
Overall, this platform is way better than Concur, and on par with other great expense management platforms that I've used as a top platform.
I cannot speak to the cost / ease of implementation as I'm a mere user and this platform was in use. My company was acquired by the current company and we used a different platform (not to be named here) and I'm happy about the change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that that I have to click an extra button to get the the "drafts section" for reports I've saved, instead of seeing it on the front page -- which shows "reports submitted" - The paranoid person in me thinks my report is gone when I am saving expenses as I go.
I'm not sure if there is an email link that i can send expenses to an email and have it route to my account. This is likely a user error and not a product limitation.
Overall, the first item is the only con I can think of! Highly recommend, have been using for 2 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used several applications that allow for reimbursement over the years and Airbase truly makes things easy. Use the app for extreme efficiency, just take the photo of the receipt and your basically done. Don't want to use the app? That's ok, its really easy to take the photos, upload them to the computer and drag them into Airbase. You're basically done. The program overall was super easy to implement, support is great, and I use it at every time I travel for work. Best I have used to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot show two nights on the hotel, vs 1 night. Accounting has not complained yet, I think they get it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would say the simplistic UI of airbase is one of the best ive seen over the years of working with reimbursement tools. Some have made it wildly difficult to the point where you get frustrated and wonder if its worth it for small amounts of money Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the only downside that I personally see is that I always start out with a new request and then realized that i need to import the file into airbase rather thsn attaching the photo of the receipt to the new request i just started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Airbase has been a really solid tool for managing expenses. Right from the start, it was easy to set up and use. The interface is clean and straightforward, so you do not need much time to figure things out. Everything is laid out in a way that makes sense, which helps keep the process smooth and stress-free.
Submitting expenses is quick and painless. It only takes a few clicks to upload receipts and send them in. What really makes a difference is how smart the system is. I can forward email receipts directly to Airbase, and it automatically pulls the right information and puts the expense in the correct category. That feature alone saves me a lot of time and helps avoid mistakes.
I also really appreciate the AI breakdown that shows up when an expense is submitted. It gives a clear summary of what the expense is, what it is for, and where it should go. It is surprisingly accurate and takes the guesswork out of the process. Instead of double-checking everything myself, I can rely on the system to handle it.
Before using Airbase, keeping track of expenses felt like a burden. The way I had to submit for reimbursement at my previous job felt like a chore all the time. Now it is something I do without even thinking twice. It fits easily into my workflow and helps me stay organized without adding extra steps.
All in all, Airbase has been a great help. It saves time, reduces errors, and makes the entire expense process way easier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and reliable way to manage business spending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there’s not much to dislike about Airbase. The process is really straightforward for me. I just submit my receipt, wait for manager approval, and then the funds get deposited in my account. It’s simple, quick, and works the way you’d hope it would. Especially because I have to use it weekly.
If I had to mention anything, it might be that I don’t see much of the process after I submit, since everything goes through approvals behind the scenes. But that’s more about the company’s workflow than the platform itself. From my end, everything runs smoothly.
So overall, no real complaints. It just works, and that’s exactly what I want from a program like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Airbase is how it brings control, visibility, and efficiency into one cohesive platform. Managing spend—whether it's employee reimbursements, virtual cards, or vendor payments—can often feel fragmented and reactive. Airbase eliminates that by centralizing everything, automating approvals, and providing real-time insights into where and how money is being spent. It allows finance and operations teams to stay proactive and strategic, instead of getting buried in manual processes or end-of-month surprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Airbase is a powerful platform, one challenge I’ve encountered is that the user interface can feel a bit unintuitive for new users, especially when navigating between different types of spend—like reimbursements versus bill payments. There’s a learning curve, particularly for non-finance users who don’t live in the tool every day. That said, once you're familiar with the system, it’s very effective. I’d just love to see a bit more emphasis on UX and onboarding guidance to make adoption smoother across teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
