What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?

It ties in with the Microsoft 365 cloud environment seamlessly! You can create a custom application for your company and design its look and feel in power apps. If you wanted to collect data in the field for example and needed an app for employees to upload pictures, notes, etc, you could design an app and have the data get loaded wherever you want in share point. Perhaps it goes into an excel sheet, database, using it with power automate can allow automated data capturing to occur as well as endless other automations in 365. There are also app templates you can reference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?

Steep learning curve. Microsoft is attempting to make creating apps be easy and require no coding or low code. You need some Visual Basic knowledge still. You also need to understand how data loops and setting up variables and get and set functions. There are lots of help information but if you have no experience, you will need to hire someone or study for a while to make use of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allowing me to capture machine breakdowns in my plant by users going into the app on the floor and taking pictures and notes and submitting a repair request. We are a manufacturing company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?

I love how Microsoft Power Apps simplifies app development with its intuitive, drag-and-drop interface, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical users. Its seamless integration with the Microsoft ecosystem (including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365) allows for effortless data connectivity, while the flexibility to customize apps with Excel-like formulas enables the creation of powerful, dynamic applications. For me, it has been a game changer for automating workflows and building tailored solutions quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?

The primary downside of Microsoft Power Apps is its performance with large datasets, where apps can become slow if not optimized properly. Additionally, while the tool is accessible for beginners, the learning curve can become steep when dealing with complex formulas, custom connectors, and performance tuning. Finally, the licensing cost can be a concern for organizations needing multiple apps or premium connectors, making it essential to carefully evaluate pricing options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?

I built a streamlined feedback collection system. Customers can now submit their feedback directly through a web form or a mobile app, and everything is automatically stored in a secure database (like Dataverse or SharePoint). No more juggling emails, spreadsheets, or manual entries.

To make it even more efficient, I set up an automated workflow using Power Automate. Now, whenever feedback is submitted, the data goes straight to my database, and a notification is sent to me. I also use Power Automate to send follow-up emails to customers, thanking them for their feedback or addressing their concerns based on their rating. This has not only saved me a ton of time but also made our customer feedback process far more responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?

My experience with Microsoft Power Apps has brought enormous benefits since the moment I began using it. When I first heard about app creation through Power Apps I felt uneasy since no programming experience was required yet the platform presented itself in an approachable manner. The main thing I like about Microsoft Power Apps is its user-friendly interface that enables me to build tailored programs without facing any difficulties. Microsoft Power Apps provides users with a powerful capability to merge data from multiple resources which includes SharePoint along with Excel and all Microsoft service options. The application has transformed our team operations because it lets us combine various information sources into one central feature that everyone uses. The solution allows me to build forms and workflows which I used to think would need extensive programming time to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?

The tool faces several aspects that need improvement even though it serves its function well. The capability to perform advanced customizations leads to occasional difficulties which cause frustration during my work. Searching through numerous templates remains challenging because you might struggle to locate one matching your precise idea. To solve these restrictive problems I always develop creative solutions that can get past them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?

What has impressed me most about this tool is the strong community backing along with its plentiful resources. The available tutorials and forums enable me to fix complex problems which normally require extended research for a solution. This community delivers great benefits since members are willing to assist each other whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?

Microsoft Power Apps has made it easier to design various business applications as it does not require complex coding. The interface of the tool is rather friendly and simple, while the functionality of the tool is rather complex and would enable several degrees of contribution even among members with little programming background. When it comes to navigation, it is smooth as the tools are grouped appropriately and therefore, you will spend a short span searching for them. There have been fairly good results and little delay in producing financial data processing performances. One of the most significant advantages, though, is that Power Apps in its turns functions both as a prototype environment and productive platform that has the securities that are needed for covering data in enterprises necessary for effective iteration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?

One disadvantage is that solving the issues with complex operations in the Power Apps is not easy due to the lack of an efficient debugger. Due to several data inputs and numerous transformations, it is difficult to find out failure points if there is no proper insight into how the system functions at every step of the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?

The consolidation of the power apps largely helped us in consumer dispute resolution process by cutting the investigation time by about 40% but with better accuracy results. The application of nontraditional credit sources in the corporation was made faster by the Onboarding of Alternative Data, which cut working time from weeks down to days. Power Apps delivers value to organizations by enhancing their digital transformation journey when it comes to developing new apps, while providing a level of governance and control over apps that addresses IT security concerns amid empowering the business users. This is good for the organizations since they can easily adopt the software by choosing a small package and scale up as the value of the project is proven. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Power Apps?

Currently, Microsoft Power Apps has been credited for revolutionizing our data engineering due to its low-code interface. It gives users the feeling of minimal complexity while at the same time offering users advanced options if ever needed. Moving on, Power Apps works together with the Microsoft environment and ensures the application works well with different data sources and bears current information for compliance and reporting. A key feature is its multiplatform compatibility, which provides a single interface regardless of the device being used to access it; the use of components also makes it easy to create reusable modules for common data transformation patterns and enforces best practices where data is being manipulated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Apps?

It lacks the ability to apply some operations to a large amount of entities at once, so in the case of dealing with a lot of record database processing, at least the usage of some optimization techniques may be required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power Apps solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft Power Apps works between data processing and business application development to minimize time to market of applications. This implies that it is not an IT platform where development teams have to be involved to build applications; however, it empowers the data professionals to create solutions. One of the emerging data challenges that has been communicated in Microsoft is the continuous improvement cycle, which focuses on making new challenges easy to handle on applications while simplifying the commodities of complex data for the people through the help of interfaces. The three initiatives introduced include Data Quality Monitor, a program that helped reduce the cycle of identifying errors to mere minutes from days; Metadata Management Portal, which allowed for cataloging and lineage of data assets; and Field Collection Application, which helped cut down weeks of data processing with the objective of increasing accuracy.
