Lucidchart has been a game-changer for visualizing complex workflows, systems architecture, and process diagrams. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to build flowcharts, mind maps, ERDs, and more—even for non-designers.
What I appreciate most is the real-time collaboration feature, which allows our distributed team to work together seamlessly on the same document. The integration with Google Drive, Jira, and Confluence has made our documentation and brainstorming processes much more efficient.
Templates are abundant and customization options are flexible, which saves a lot of time. The learning curve is minimal, and the performance is consistently smooth.
Highly recommend for professionals and teams looking to enhance productivity and clarity through visuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, finding specific shapes or templates takes longer than expected due to limited search filtering. Also, offline access would be a helpful feature for times when internet connectivity is unreliable.
That said, these are relatively minor issues, and the overall functionality and user experience are still top-notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how the collaboration works, and I can even see my coworkers mouse moving around the screen. It's also very customizable, and I appreciate having icons for AWS and other cloud provider specific resources.
I really enjoy moving around the chart when I have a mouse, through zooming in and out. I don't enjoy how the navigation/moving around the chart works with a touchpad, though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the boxes are slightly off, or are different sizes and then when you drag an arrow from one box to another, it isn't exactly straight. What I wish is that you could select two boxes and say "line them up" so that they just matched each other and the line between them didn't have any extra dips or turns in it. The options to collaborate with a team and the large number of templates and Shapes.
The import options are helpful as well and save time.
It is very easy to create visuals and illustrations any time I have a customer call and find visuals to be a better way to send a message and make a point.
The integration with Gmail is also great and useful instead of exporting every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The import options are very helpful, but sometime I want to create many items of the same shape and just paste the names and the only option is for sticky notes.
Additionally, the templates sometimes are very specific, but I need to make to many changes to use them the way I want Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They have made an online drawing tool easy to use. Shapes snap into place where you think and would like them to. Others are clunky and take ages to get to the point you're happy and then, move one object or arrow and you mess up the whole look and feel. Also, if you are looking for a shortcut or how to do something, as it is so widely used, a quick online search and you will find how to do it. I must use it at least a few times per week. Implementation, well, you just login. As I said support, just go online and search for what you need. Integratoin, well I am pretty sure you can embed into JIRA easily, but I have not done this yet, i just take screenshots or include the URL to my drawings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the feature you want, like strikethrough or some other formatting is a bit harder to see and find than what you might be used to in MS Word. The arrows can be a bit tricky at times when you move the main shape they are connected to, but can be fixed quite easily vs. other drawing packages and provide for quite flexible positioning while snapping into place well. The resolution of the snapping could be more flexible, i have not figured out if that is possible yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an Engineer, Lucid has become an indispensable tool in my daily workflow. The suite's strongest assets lie in its comprehensive diagramming capabilities that cater precisely to my needs of complex software architecture and design. It excels in converting code to diagram with high-level system architecture to intricate class-level diagrams, It also provides intuitive canvas that transforms abstract concepts to clear, visual representations. It has also helped in drafting UML diagrams, creating integration flow and deployment flow charts. Also it helps to share it with team and real-time collaborations. I use it frequently for creating most important diagrams and ideas that ease the work with implementing the work easily, Also customer support is available when required. It integrates well with Jira and other tools so everyone see's the work done rather that coming to portal and checking. Suite is easy to implement and each one with some hands on training can draw exceptional diagram and bring their ideas to reality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The suite has less learning curve with extensive feature set, Sometime team members work hard understanding some options for creating complex architecture diagram and also code to diagram has less options and can draw with mermaid code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its seamless ability to turn complex ideas into clear, visual workflows. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface, wide variety of templates, and real-time collaboration features make it incredibly effective for brainstorming, process mapping, and technical architecture discussions — especially across remote teams. Integration with tools like Slack, Jira, and Confluence also adds huge value for keeping everything connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One drawback of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that it can become expensive at scale, especially for larger teams that need full feature access. Additionally, performance may lag slightly with very complex or heavily detailed diagrams, particularly when multiple users are editing simultaneously. Lastly, while the interface is generally intuitive, some advanced features have a learning curve and require time to fully utilize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Templates are a great way to start creating projects. I have used it for career growth and brainstorming on what is needed for my direct reports to grow. I have used it for 1:1's to highlight things that went well and things that need improvement. There are so many templates / ideas to start the creative juices. The only downside that I have had so far is just the learning curve of how to use it effectively. Knowing how to grab the screen and more it etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate the intuitive drag-and-drop interface, wide range of templates, and seamless real-time collaboration features—it makes brainstorming and system design easy, even across distributed teams. Integration with tools like Google Drive, Jira, and Microsoft 365 also streamlines workflows significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally, large or complex diagrams can become sluggish to edit, and the pricing can be a bit high for smaller teams or individual users. More advanced data linking or automation features would also be a great addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having a role in Continuous Improvement I found that the templates to support our VSM and CI diagramming efforts very valuable and far better than those in MS Visio. I also found that we can import our existing Visio diagrams and make them better with Lucid. The collaboration is also easier and nicer than that of Visio and it helps me as I train others on the value of CI mapping efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We found that Lucid does not adequately support our previous use of Visio in the generation of floor plans, scaled engineering documents, technical documents with complex embedded calculations and drawings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That it makes it easy to do a presentation or show someone what your working on most importantly I don’t have to use it much as in one presentation it gets the job done. It can be used everyday with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The drag feature it could be better or zoom to it gets a bit slow when your trying to do it smoothly. I love how you can easily choose the shapes that need to be used. Implementing new ideas can be easy when done. If expanding is the mean purpose you won’t need to use it frequently as much. Integrating Lucid with a slideshow it the best fit. If you use it everyday you get better. No need for customer support as the app works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
