I volunteer for a non profit dog rescue. We have struggled with having our private numbers out on the web for people to access as there is so much fraud out there. Finding 800.com was perfect! The annual cost is so affordable for the service and peace of mind we now have. Our rescue was able to secure a vanity 800 number that goes along with our rescue for no added cost! Everyone from sales to support has been helpful. I love the tutorials and being able to get help 24/7. So easy to use and now they have the app, even better. I have my 800 number saved in my phone with a unique ringtone so I immediately know I’m getting a call from someone needing help. The only downside which is expected is that two separate companies can not be managed under one account, due to the registration of the number. What do you like best about 800.com?

The price first and foremost. But don't let that scare you. I was happy with the ability to search for a good vanity number for my business. From there I appreciated the fact that I was able to find a plan that fit my budget and usage trends. Under $10 a month for 1,000 minutes and 120 messages is great. Getting approved for SMS was a straightforward, yet necessary process that added a huge benefit to my company being able to communicate with existing and potential clients.

The use has been overall great. It was easy to set up our phone tree and everything works as expected with callers reaching us. We appreciate the fact that the system has been operational and we have been able to use the texting, calls, and other aspects of the platform as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 800.com?

Several interesting features require an upgrade to the pro plan. I don't use any of these, yet, but it would be nice to have some inclusions even at a limit like is the case with the number of minutes and text messages per month.

There was one point where we made a call from our T-Mobile device and had continued drop outs. We had to use our PC to make the outgoing call. I understand that this system is not made for incoming calls as much as it is to have a number for someone else to call and to forward on, but this is something that should work - even when rarely needed. We needed a good vanity number that would primary serve for inbound and outbound SMS communication. We use the phone feature as well but we primarily wanted to allow clients to text us. I would still like for 800.com to offer short codes, or connect clients to third-party provider who could provide this service. Short codes are easy to remember and give brands that added credibility, especially when contacting clients when they are off the site or off the app. In an increasingly competitive, and, frankly, challenging market, this type of touch grants companies a competitive advantage. What do you like best about 800.com?

I like how easy it is to route calls to different extensions with customized prompts. This can all be done in the dashboard. Also, I love the number I was able to find. It is perfect for me. There is a way to find numbers that correspond with relevant words you may use for your business or service; very cool. What do you dislike about 800.com?

It is not possible to text from your business number unless you apply for a SMS campaign through a regulatory 3rd party. This is a Federal Regulation to protect from Scammers and Abuse so I do understand it, but if you are sending a single text to a known party, I think there could be a solution for this as you are not spam messaging via campaign. This may be beyond the purview of any toll free number registrar, let alone 800.com Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 800.com?

I use 800.com every year for about 3 months during our busy time for call center. It’s super easy to set up, very clear interface. I don’t need IT help or anything like this. Everything just works. What do you like best about 800.com?

I got a personalized 888 number from an 800 service competitor a few years ago and was never happy with the service or the pricing. I just found 800.com and saw how easy it was to port my existing number to their service- I didn't have to reprint my business cards or update any websites. Even better was the ease of implementation- I was able to navigate their website with no confusion and then also received a follow up phone call from customer support. He told me that my number was ready to go and he was ALREADY working on the texting side of it without even being asked yet. I'm blown away by how easy it was to make this switch from my previous company, get great service AND save money in the process. I'd recommend 800.com to anyone!
