What do you like best about Remote?

What I liked most about Remote is how invisible it felt, in the best way. Everything just worked. I signed my contract, set up my details, and got paid on time without needing to chase anyone or figure out complicated systems. One small frustration was that I couldn’t access the invoicing system until my employer fully set things up on their side. It left me a bit in the dark at first. What do you like best about Remote?

I've been using the Remote app for a while now, and I must say it has completely changed the way I view remote employment. This app acts almost like an employer itself — highly professional, efficient, and truly supportive of both companies and workers. One of the things I appreciate the most is how fairly it treats employees. The platform ensures that workers are not taken advantage of, which is something that’s often overlooked in other freelance or hiring apps.

The customer support is outstanding. Any time I’ve had a question or issue, the response has been quick, clear, and helpful. It’s clear that the Remote team values the people who use their service — both employers and employees alike.

The insurance and benefit system offered through the app is also very impressive. It gives a strong sense of security, especially for freelancers or remote workers who typically lack access to such benefits. Everything is very transparent and well-structured, which makes the entire experience smooth and worry-free.

What do you dislike about Remote?

One major downside I’ve encountered is related to employment verification in Thailand. When applying for a credit card, local banks often require confirmation of employment via a phone call. Unfortunately, Remote does not provide a local Thai phone number or support line for such verifications. This makes it difficult for employees in Thailand to get approved for financial services like credit cards, even if they are legitimately employed through the app.

What problems is Remote solving and how is that benefiting you?

One issue I initially encountered while using the Remote app was related to insurance information and the process of offboarding from a job. I needed clear details regarding my coverage and how the system would handle things like final payments and unused leave days.

To my surprise, Remote handled this extremely well. The support team provided the insurance information very quickly, with no delays. I was especially impressed with how fair the platform is when it comes to ending an employment contract. It clearly explained the calculation of remaining salary and unused vacation days, making the offboarding process feel transparent and respectful to employees.

What do you like best about Remote?

Honestly, there’s very little to dislike. If I had to mention something, it would be that some features could have more detailed tooltips or explanations for first-time users. When I needed to start a contract in another country, they handled everything in record time, showing a real commitment to supporting their clients and making the process as smooth as possible.

What do you like best about Remote?

I love that the platform is quite user friendly and easy to navigate, and that they send payslips out via email.

I also LOVE the Cobee benefits they offer in Spain, it's so nice to be able to shift 200 euros a month to a tax deferred benefit that previously was not. Huge KUDOS for this benefit for Spain based Remote employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Remote?

Their expense reimbursement policy is a bit convuluted for EOR employees in Spain, and it would have been nice to have a live meeting to go over this intead of just being sent documentation.

What do you like best about Remote?

Remote is also a solution for smaller companies. Before my move, I informed my employer of my choice and offered to continue working for the company. With a new residence abroad, it's difficult for a small company to manage all the administrative aspects of this particular situation, especially as it only involves one person. Remote takes care of everything. Taking charge is quick and clear. As an employee, I appreciate the clear, easy-to-use interface. My employer and I are informed as soon as there is a change in the country of residence. Remote made it easy and quick and was the perfect solution for my company and I to continue work together. What do you dislike about Remote?

What could be improved is the onboarding with Remote: to better understand the contract, being explained in detail about it and the salary and taxes involved, and in general get more clarity at the beginning about those things, and also about how Remote works and its platform. The contract process should be discussed between the parties, explained and talked through, and also the salary in detail, and I missed that with Remote. If Remote did not exist, I would not be able to work for the NGO that I work for, from where I live - I would not have been able to take the job! So my job is possible only through Remote.
